Leadership Journey projects have been chosen because they each serve the poor at a ‘grass roots’ level with a sustainable means of breaking the cycle of poverty. While these projects may occasionally involve giving temporary aid, the long term aim is to create sustainable communities with the skills and resources required to forge a future characterised by hope. 

Whether it is helping improve the hospital at Herbertpur in remote Northern India, helping poor families in Malawi to raise livestock, providing home based care to HIV & Aids patients across Southern Africa, or assisting orphans and vulnerable children with a blanket for cold nights and an education, each project is an opportunity for you to build an ongoing relationship with a community in desperate need.

Leadership Journey facilitates development among the world’s marginalised and disadvantaged people by partnering with reputable development agencies to mobilise resources and promote greater awareness in wealthier nations.

Poverty in our world is pervasive. 1.2 billion people live on less than A$2 a day, and almost 3 billion live on less than A$4 a day. Of those who live in extreme poverty, 70% are women and girls. Women do two-thirds of the world’s work and receive one-tenth of the world’s income. One-third of all children suffer from hunger and malnutrition. 250 million children are forced into full time labour and more than 130 million children don’t go to school. One billion people, 30% of the world’s workforce, are unemployed.

Leadership Journey is a catalyst through which an organisation can work alongside a development agency to benefit a poor community through a financial or in-kind contribution. In order for there to be a win/win the development agency managing the projects want to ensure that the client group agrees upon a specific financial target in support of the project they intend to visit.

Leadership Journey is managed by a Board of Directors committed to maximising the health of Australian communities and businesses and to improving the plight of the world’s poorest and most marginalised people. Leadership Journey's unique network of relationships with reputable Development Agencies the world over enables us to promote good quality development projects and to strategically align our clients with a range of community projects. Leadership Journey is committed to donating a percentage of our profits back into project communities with the aim of increasing it to 20% over the next 5 years.
